Make an easy Chicken Fajita Paratha Roll at home with juicy marinated chicken, creamy fajita sauce, and flaky paratha. Perfect for quick lunches or dinners!

Ingredients

  • ½ cup thick yogurt (optional, keeps chicken tender)

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tsp chili powder

  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika

  • ½ tsp turmeric powder

  • 1 tsp cumin powder

  • ½ tsp black pepper powder

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp coriander powder

  • salt to taste

  • 1 tsp oregano

  • Chili flakes (optional)

  • 4 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast or thighs (cut into long strips)

  • Paratha Dough
  • 2 cups (300g) all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1½ tbsp powdered sugar

  • 2 tbsp melted ghee or butter

  • Warm water, as needed

  •  Creamy Fajita Sauce
  • 90g (½ cup) sour cream

  • 45g (3 tbsp) mayonnaise

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tsp paprika powder

  • ½ tsp chili powder

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • ¼ tsp cumin powder

  • ½ tsp coriander powder

  • ½ tsp oregano

  • ¾ tsp salt

  • 1 tsp fajita seasoning

  • Vegetables
  • 1½ cups mixed bell peppers (cut into long strips)

  • 1 onion (thinly sliced)

  • Ghee for cooking parathas

Directions

  •  Marinate the Chicken
  • In a large bowl, add all marinade ingredients and mix well. Add chicken strips and coat evenly. Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes (overnight for best flavor).
  •  Prepare the Paratha Dough
  • In a bowl, mix flour, salt, powdered sugar, and melted ghee. Gradually add warm water and knead into a soft dough. Cover and rest for 20 minutes.
  • Make the Creamy Fajita Sauce
  • Combine all sauce ingredients in a bowl. Mix until smooth and creamy. Refrigerate until ready to use
  •  Cook the Chicken & Vegetables
  • Heat a pan over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated chicken until golden and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
    In the same pan, sauté onions and bell peppers until slightly soft but still crisp. Add chicken back and toss together.
  • Cook the Parathas
  • Divide dough into balls. Roll each into a thin circle. Cook on a hot pan with ghee until golden spots appear on both sides.
  • Assemble the Rolls

  • Spread creamy fajita sauce on warm paratha. Add chicken and veggie filling. Roll tightly and serve hot.
